Hi!  I am the new school counselor for students in grades 9-12.

I am a native of Wabash County and am coming to Lewis Cass from southern Indiana.  I earned a Bachelors degree in Business Education from Manchester College, a Masters degree in Education from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Masters degree in School Counseling from the University of Saint Francis. I’ve worked both as a middle school and high school counselor for many years.

I have three grown daughters and a darling little granddaughter named Felicity. Now that my children are grown, I am a mother to my two furbabies, Bleu and Cheddar, two rambunctious kittens.

The role of a school counselor has changed significantly over the past 10 years.  Just like teachers, school counselors are given standards to meet when working with our students.  The three service areas we help students with are:  Academic Development, Career Development, and Social/Emotional Development.  I try to offer as much information as possible and assistance in all three of these areas through face-to-face meetings, emails, the Guidance webpage, classroom presentations, and announcements.  However, every student and family has their own situation and questions.  So please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a need that has not been addressed in another way and I will do my best to help!  I look forward to getting acquainted with the families in the Lewis Cass district and helping each student be his/her best while preparing for a bright future.
