Preschool Class (3-5) Class size is limited The preschool swim time is meant to be a time where the new swimmers are able to get in the water with or without their parent in one on one lessons with an instructor. This is a transition class so the child is ready for beginners. Skills we work on are blowing bubbles, getting their hair wet, kicking their feet, floating and sculling on their back. Parents are also welcome to get into the water with their child at this time and follow the lead instructor or have time with their child in the water to help them get acclimated to the pool.

Beginner/Non-swimmer A beginner swimmer typically is a younger child who has little to no experience in the water. Class Goals: Gain confidence in the water. Put their face in the water for 5 seconds. Blow bubbles from their mouth and nose. Float on their front and back. Flutter kick with a kick board on their stomach and back. Streamline off the wall to the instructor. Start freestyle and backstroke arms. Jump into the pool to an instructor.

Beginner II A beginner II swimmer typically is a child who is comfortable with the water, able to put their face in for 5 seconds, and able to float on their front and back. Swim freestyle and backstroke the width of the pool. Jump into the pool and swim back to the side without assistance.
